چکیده
Abstract. The growing deployment of multi-head camera systems encouraged the emergence specific processing algorithms, able to face challenges posed by slanted view geometry. Such multi-camera are rigidly tied their manufacturers hence exploitation this internal constraint should be further exploited. Several approaches have been proposed deal with orientation constraints, aim reducing number unknowns, computational time and possibly improve accuracy. In paper we compare results provided publicly available implementations in order investigate advantages enforcing relative constraints for aerial terrestrial triangulation systems. Data from a Leica CityMapper Stereopolis-Ladybug considered, reporting how constrained solution can accuracy respect traditional (unconstrained) bundle block adjustment solutions.

Bundle Adjustment for Multi-camera Systems with Points at Infinity
We present a novel approach for a rigorous bundle adjustment for omnidirectional and multi-view cameras, which enables an efficient maximum-likelihood estimation with image and scene points at infinity. Multi-camera systems are used to increase the resolution, to combine cameras with different spectral sensitivities (Z/I DMC, Vexcel Ultracam) or – like omnidirectional cameras – to augment the e...
متن کاملAdding Synchronization and Rolling Shutter in Multi-Camera Bundle Adjustment
This paper introduces a new bundle adjustment for multi-cameras, that simultaneously estimates not only the usual parameters (poses and points) but also the synchronization and the rolling shutter. We start from an initial calibration with a global shutter camera model (GS) and a frameaccurate synchronization provided by previous self-calibration methods [1]. Our BA provides subframe-accurate s...
متن کاملComparison of Bundle Adjustment Formulations
Bundle adjustment (BA) is an optimization process refining the estimates of extrinsic camera parameters (position and orientation, or pose) and the three dimensional (3D) positions of features using overlapping images from multiple views. The optimization in BA may be formulated many ways. We compare four alternatives, including the standard formulation, from the perspectives of the region of c...
متن کاملRelative Bundle Adjustment Based on Trifocal Constraints
In this paper we propose a novel approach to bundle adjustment for large-scale camera configurations. The method does not need to include the 3D points in the optimization as parameters. Additionally, we model the parameters of a camera only relative to a nearby camera to achieve a stable estimation of all cameras. This guarantees to yield a normal equation system with a numerical condition, wh...
متن کاملEuclidean Bundle Adjustment Independent on Camera Intrinsic Parameters
This research report presents a bundle adjustment technique which is independent on camera intrinsic parameters. Standard bundle adjustment techniques consider camera intrinsic parameters as unknowns in the optimization process. The scheme proposed in this report di ers from previous standard techniques since unknown camera intrinsic parameters are computed as a function of the 3D structure and...
